Faridah Abu Bakar
Deputy Director of Family Health Ministry of Health Malaysia
Faridah Abu Bakar is a medical doctor with Master’s in Public Health, currently working as Deputy Director of Family Health in the Family Health Development Division of the Ministry of Health Malaysia for the past four years.
Prior to that, Faridah served for more than 18 years, at state level as Maternal Health Officer, later known as State Family Health Officer. Faridah’s task then was to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate the performance and impact of the implementation of programs including maternal and child health, adolescent health, adult health, elderly health, school health services and health for people with disabilities. In her current position, Faridah’s role is to identify, develop new policy and programs with regards to family health and plan for implementation.
