Anna joined the Barcelona Centre for International Health Research (CRESIB) in September 2008 where she worked as pre-award grants manager. She then switched to CRESIB’s Global Health Policy Unit that aimed to inform Spanish global health policy.
Anna Lucas is since 2012 the coordinator of the Maternal, Child and Reproductive Health Initiative of ISGlobal, the Barcelona Institute for Global Health that draws on all of ISGlobal's areas of action research, training, policy & global development.Anna supports the RMCH Initiative’s policy, advocacy and educational activities including the Safe Mothers and Newborns Leadership Workshop and she also contributes to the research projects, including the 2016 report published jointly by ISGlobal and the World Bank Group in 2016 ‘Inequalities in Women’s and Girls’ Health Opportunities and Outcomes. Anna holds bachelor’s and master’s degree in Law, a masters degree in Public and Social Policies and a postgraduate course in applied economic analysis from Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona, Spain.
