Dr. German A. Gallego is a physician, epidemiologist, biostatistician and public health practitioner with research and management experience. In particular, Dr. Gallego is an expert in the design, development and administration of maternal health projects and programs in developing countries. Dr. Gallego currently services as the Maternal Health Consultant for the Ministry of Health Promotion and Prevention in his native Colombia. His primary role involves monitoring and strengthening maternal health strategies, including the management of quality of care of obstetric complications, maternal morbidity surveillance and legal abortion.
