Kofi Buah Bosque Hamilton
Medical Superintendent at Maternal and Child Health Hospital, Kumasi
Dr Hamilton is a 55 year old Ghanaian Obstetrician Gynaecologist who received his pre-university schooling in Ghana and qualified as a medical doctor and specialist in Romania in 1988 and 2007 respectively.
As a practising doctor of 29 years, Dr Hamilton has worked in the rural, district and teaching hospitals and therefore gained a lot of experience dealing with health issues at all levels. During his career, he has attended several courses including health administration and management that have equipped him with skills for rendering good service to patients, staff and my employer. Currently he is the medical superintendent of the Maternal and Child Hospital in Kumasi, Ghana and senior specialist obstetrician/gynaecologist.
It is always his aim to offer the best quality care to women and their babies at affordable cost. He has a passion for the training of middle-level staffs and therefore involved with the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ISUOG) in the training of midwives in the use of ultrasound, cervical cancer screening, etc. He is also the Regional Trainer in Maternal Death Audit Guidelines.
As a member of the Maternal Health Task Force responsible for four districts in the Ashanti region of Ghana, he is also responsible for ensuring health standards in maternal and neonatal care.
He is fluent in Twi, Fante, English and Romanian. His hobbies are farming, history, art and astronomy. He is married with three children.
